Big Pharma has gotten away with far too much, for far too long; there is no doubt about that. Whether we’re talking about the plethora of children harmed by reckless vaccination programs, their for-profit disease-manufacturing, or simply just the growing numbers of children and teens on treacherous psych meds, America has become a pawn for profit-seeking industry heads. And sadly, many Americans are too medicated to even see the forest for the trees.
Perhaps the biggest sham of all then, is the fact that such a greedy, careless industry has been able to dupe so many people into not only believing in the drugs that they sell, but to completely disregard any and all adverse effects caused by their medications. The pharmaceutical deception is so great that anyone who even dares to speak out about the ill effects caused by medications (especially psych meds) is slammed as a conspiracy theorist.
The truth is that over 1,500 incidents of “psychotropic drug-induced homicidal ideation” have been reported to the FDA’s MedWatch program — and if the FDA estimates only 10 percent of adverse events are actually disclosed, you can imagine that a lot more people are out there struggling than Big Pharma and their puppets would ever care to admit.
Look at Sanofi’s highly profitable Ambien: The drug has been linked to multiple instances of violence and accidental death, along with bouts of temporary amnesia.
Sanofi recently came under fire for “mocking” Roseanne Barr’s mental illness — which she treats with (you guessed it) Ambien. Even back in 2006, the company was hellbent on denying any sort of liability when it came to any sort of ill-effects people taking Ambien experienced. One user reported multiple, frightening instances of memory loss. In response, an apparently unconcerned rep simply told the New York Times that when taken “correctly,” Ambien is a “safe and effective treatment.” Sure it is — it safely and effectively made Sanofi money.
But it’s not just sleeping pills that have Americans walking around like a bunch of zombies.
Earlier in 2018, world-renowned psychiatrist Peter Breggin — who has also been dubbed “the conscience of his profession”– spoke out about the inherent dangers of blindly prescribing (and taking) prescription psychiatric drugs. In an excerpt, Breggins wrote:
Not only do psychiatric drugs add to the risk of violence, but psychiatric treatment lulls the various authorities and the family into believing that the patient is now ‘under control’ and ‘less of a risk.’ Even the patient may think the drugs are helping, and continue to take them right up to the moment of violence.
Even when some of their patients signal with all their might that they are dangerous and need to be stopped, mental health providers are likely to give drugs, adding fuel to the heat of violent impulses, while assuming that their violence-inducing drugs will reduce the risk of serious aggression.
Breggin further contended that psychiatric meds are an “obvious prescription for violence,” and with everything going on these days, it’s easy to agree with him.
Expert Peter Gøtzsche has his own thoughts on Big Pharma’s cocktails. Gøtzsche posits that because trials of antidepressants, antipsychotics and other drugs are funded by manufacturers, study results are, at the very least, biased — which should render their findings useless. Moreover, there is often more evidence of harm than there is of healing. In fact, Gøtzsche says that in most antidepressant trials patients on placebo pills do just about as well as patients on the “real thing.”
Trying to get off psych drugs is another matter entirely. Indeed, the pharma industry wants you hopelessly addicted to their drugs — so much so, that you won’t even question why bad things are happening. (Related: Learn more about what heals and what harms at Medicine.news)
